It was sometimes difficult to keep up with The Mules as they walked along at 3mph while covering a distance of 10 to 15 miles a day. They would rarely stop and allow me time to set up the camera and yell “Action!” On this day in the crowded Santa Clarita area, I had to drive ahead, find parking, unload and position the camera, grab the shot, and then catch up to reposition for the next one. Note that this is Pebbles’ (who replaced Pepper) first day on the back of the string. She’s being tested with a light load.
