After traveling with John (“Mule”) for 14 years, Pepper went lame. It was time to say goodbye and put her out to pasture. Mule continued on his journey with Lady, Little Girl and his new mule, Fred. As I kept filming over the next year, The Mules faced more challenges, which you will see in the completed documentary.
