John (“Mule”) found a place for the mules and himself to stay in an old walnut grove a few blocks from the Superior Courthouse in Morgan Hill. The next day he would go back into the courtroom for the final verdict on his August 31 arrest for disobeying the lawful order of a peace officer. We had a long talk abut the arrest, the court arraignment, and our relationship.
