In November, Mule was issued a citation by park rangers at the Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve for illegal camping. The fine is $485. He decided to visit the San Diego County Superior Court challenge the fact that he could only get a trial date by paying the fine first.
Thanks to pro bono work by my attorney friend, Sharon Sherman, he was able to get a trial date. However, the case was dismissed a few months later.
