We entered the Los Padres National Forest north of Fillmore at the Dough Flats trailhead. From there The Mules planned to travel for several days through the Sespe Wilderness, home of the California Condor Sanctuary. I carried my video equipment and supplies in my heavy-duty twin baby stroller. John (‘Mule’) and I switched places a few times where I’d ride Lady and he’d push the stroller. Unfortunately, I was never able to go too deep into the wilderness because of the need to charge my camera batteries and download the video footage onto hard drives. But Mule always had two GoPro cameras with him and captured some great footage which I’ll share later.
