On their way to the Mitilija Wilderness trailhead The Mules passed by a group of folks visiting one of the local hot springs. Hot springs are prevalent in the Ojai area, the ancient home of the Chumash people. Unfortunately, the Thomas Fire in December 2017, and the subsequent debris flows from heavy rains wiped out this site and thousands of acres around it.
